The watercrafts operating in the Port

 

The Port of Ashdod operates several watercrafts, including tugboats, pilot-boats and service boats, all available for the service of the ships anchored in the Port.

The fleet of watercrafts of the Port of Ashdod:

Tugboats:
The role of these boats is to assist the navigation of a ship upon its tying, moving and its transfer between the piers to and from the Port.

The Port has five towboats; “Sufa”, “Delila”, “Saar”, “Gaash”, “Shimshon”.

 

Pilot boats:
The role of the pilot boat is to sail the pilot to and from the ship for navigating it from the piers.

There are three pilot boats in the Port numbered: “Pilot 1”, “Pilot 2”, “Pilot 3”.

 Service boats:
The role of the service boats is to assist at the time of tying / releasing the ship to and from the piers, transfer passengers and supplies to and from the ships anchored outside the Port.

The port has three service boats numbered: “74”, “76”, “82”.
