Ashdod Port Company to hire 70 temporary employees

Ashdod Port Company decided to hire 70 temporary employees. 35 of them, who were trained in the past, will begin working immediately, during the war. The Port Company is prepared to immediately hire another 35 employees, if necessary. The Port's decision is intended to reinforce and optimally utilize the company's operational workforce, which will help increase output and provide optimal service for the company's customers. This was necessary due to the war situation that the port is operating in, whereas some of the regular employees have been called up to serve in their reserve units.

Shaul Schneider, Chairman of the Board of Ashdod Port: “Hiring temporary employees is an essential step to increase efficiency in the port's operations. We are engaged in a national effort to continue to operate and remain available for ships that are docking at our port, for the sake of the Israeli economy, and maintaining a continuous flow of goods from and to Israel."

Eli Bar-Yosef, Acting CEO of Ashdod Port: “We continue to maintain the port's operational continuity, with concern for the rights of the employees, who are the driving force of Ashdod Port".
