An impressive achievement for the Ashdod Port Company! Ashdod Port was included for the first time in the prestigious
schedule reliability ranking for 2025 by Sea-Intelligence, a company specializing in performance analysis in the shipping industry, and ranked 9th in the 'Port Reliability Index'. The company examined the level of operational reliability of 202 ports around the world, as reflected in punctuality, a critical index in the eyes of global shipping companies.
The Port Liner Shipping Connectivity Reliability Index is considered the main index in the shipping world in all matters related to the operational quality of ports. The ranking examines the percentage of ships that arrive and depart the port on time according to the planned schedules, the level of accuracy in the forecasts that are transmitted to the line operators, the port's ability to operate under a high load of ship clerks, and more.
The ranking is based on data collected over 14 years of regular reporting, and includes hundreds of thousands of actual cases. A port that exhibits operational stability, high transparency with shipping companies, and the ability to meet deadlines receives a high ranking. Also, the more ships a port handles consistently and accurately, the higher the ranking. The index is considered a significant tool in the logistics and shipping industry, and is an indication of the port's reliability and efficiency in the eyes of global customers. The study is a milestone in the reliability of ports vis-à-vis shipping companies that also use these indices internally for their lines and is now being published to the public.
