In addition to the close guidance that the Directorate provides the Port in the area of cyber defense, this year Ashdod Port and the Cyber Directorate also began to move forward with advanced innovative technology and cyber initiatives at the Port.
In the meeting the participants discussed the cyber challenges of the maritime environment, ways to provide adequate protection in a fast-moving technological world and how to create an innovative cyber environment at the Port.
Orna Hozman Bechor, Chairman of Ashdod Port explains: “As Israel's central national port, Ashdod Port represents a commitment to Israeli fortitude, innovation, security and progress. Ashdod Port, Israel's port, is the largest and most significant center of commerce for the country and we are therefore proud of the results of our cooperation with the Cyber Directorate, which supports the Port's functional continuity and has dedicated its greatest minds to promoting extensive cooperation with us ."
Yigal Unna, Director General of the National Cyber Directorate adds: “The Port continues to dedicate significant attention and resources to the topic of cyber. Israeli cyber defense technologies thar are developed for national infrastructure are later adopted all over the world, and they allow Israel to be one of the world leaders in the cyber industry. We are therefore helping the Port to implement them."
