Customers Division

The Customers Division in Ashdod Port Company is engaged in the marketing, service and sales of the Port Company, targeting a wide range of customers including cargo holders, shipping companies, shipping agents, exporters, leading land shippers.

 

The primary function of The Division of Customers Service is to develop and retain company customers as well as to increase revenue in all areas of operation in the port.

 

The efforts made by the Division of Customers Service focus on major importers that ship a wide variety of cargo, as well as large and medium-sized exporters without forgetting the individual importers and exporters.

 

The Division channels its efforts towards marketing services and significant sales to leading exporters and/or importers, and facilitates in the development and retention of shipping lines that dock at the port.

 

The Division seeks to create a circle of success between the shipping lines vis-à-vis their various destinations and development of Israel's imports and exports while maintaining a high level of competitiveness between the various ports.

 

The efforts of the Division of Customers Service are directed at other business and commercial entities such as Customs Agents, international shippers and various segments of companies that must operate to and with the port.  This is aimed at reinforcing and leveraging the Port's image and helping prioritizing the Ashdod Port among cargo owners or agents.

 

The Marketing Unit

Responsibilities in the containers and cruises segment:

  • Encouragement and incentive for shipping companies, shipping agents, leading importers and exporters
  • Data analysis and analysis for customer markets that falls under the responsibility of the marketing system
  • Development and marketing of new products based on customer needs
  • Generation and distribution of operating reports and statistics, e.g.: origin and destination report based on ports, storage data based on customer requirements, etc.
  • Creation of communication content and promotion of campaigns to promote business activity in Israel and abroad
  • Production of a newspaper for customers
  • Oversight and initiation of conferences for our varying customers

    The Sales Unit

    Responsibilities in bulk, general cargo and vehicles segment:

  • Encouragement and incentive for shipping companies, shipping agents, leading importers and exporters
  • Information analysis and analysis for customer markets that falls under the responsibilities of the sales system
  • Development and marketing of new products based on the customer requirements
  • Generation and distribution of operating and statistical reports
  •  

    The Customers Service Department 

     

    The Customers Service Department  serves as the customers' ambassador in the port, focusing on customer queries, service quality management and service development.

    The Customers Service Department formulated a service vision that serves as a flagship for service providers in the port, a service vision essentially defines the manner in which we wish to provide service.

    The service vision states:

    To provide port services within the confines of defined standards, while remaining competitive, fair and attentive to our customers"

    The Customers Service Department is responsible for the following:

     

  • Management of customer queries
  • Analysis and generation of conclusions to improve service
  • Development of customer support services
  • Updates and information for customers
  • Customer address and orientation
  • Response to every customer question
  • Coordination with external parties such as the Ministry of Health, Customs, Standards Institution, terminals
  • Cooperation and coordination with all company entities
  • Customer surveys
  •  

    The Department can be contacted with regards to the following: 

  • Information about the port, questions and clarifications
  • Claims of unjustified charges of port fees
  • Proposals and ideas for improving service
  • Improvement of existing services, addition of new services
  • Coordination and link to port entities
  • Complaints about service
  • Various requests
  •
