The implementation of this method resulted in a significant increase in the Ashdod Port Company customers’ satisfaction. Included in this is the Cosco Company, one of the largest shipping companies in the world, represented in Israel by Carmel, which expressed its satisfaction in a thank you letter sent by Cosco’s CEO, Mr. Liang Bo addressed to the Ashdod Port Company Manger, Shuki Sagis.
According to Cosco’s CEO, Mr. Liang BO, since the initiation of the “Special Commercial Agreements” method at the port of Ashdod, we have gained unprecedented stability and efficiency in the port, which produced better service for us and for our customers. Now we are willing to expand our commercial activity in Israel”. He added, “The stabilization of service levels we experience over a prolonged period, results at the end with benefits for both parties”.
Shuki Sagis, Ashdod Port Company Manager said, “I am glad that the introduction of the “Special Commercial Agreements” method brought us one additional significant step forward in the process of improving service and customer satisfaction. It is our goal to continue the improvement of service level for the port’s customers. For this purpose we established a joint team of workers and management, which has already lead a number of processes for the improvement of the service, this grew out of the understanding that only this type of cooperation can lead to a significant improvement”.
“Additionally, during the first quarter of the year 2008, we completed a move of coordination of expectations with our Israeli customers as well as the foreign shipping companies, a move that greatly assisted our thinking and implementation of improvement and efficiency moves”, added Sagis.
